In an increasingly competitive IT market, the ability of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to maximize return on all assets, whether end-of-life, returned goods or over production, can determine the success or failure of a product line. Responding to the needs of our OEM partners, AGParts has developed a series of programs to help manufacturers maintain their competitive advantage and seize additional revenue opportunities.
End of Life Support
As the life of a model comes to an end, manufacturers are required by law to provide support for models that no longer generate profits and consume the valuable resources of time, people, and space. AGParts through its proprietary systems manages the End of Life Support process and enables OEMs to concentrate their efforts on current model support. AGParts services include:
• Spare Parts Ordering
• Trade in Programs
• Environmental Disposal
Low End Model Returns & Revenue Recovery
All manufacturers manage customer returns. The way returns are handled, however, directly affects the bottom line. Most manufacturers concentrate on higher priced items and in many cases ignore lower revenue products lines by not investing the time and money to actively process the return.
AGParts through its international channel and expertise will ship the returned product to regions of the world where labor rates allow for these repairs to be made to lower end product lines (i.e. Celeron computers, 15" LCD monitors, lower speed optical drives, etc). These units can be brought into a country tariff-free for repair and more importantly can be remarketed in the country where this lower end product is in much demand.
Product Relocation (India, China, Russia, Middle East, Northern Africa, Latin America)
As product cycles have shortened to months, new models are introduced sometimes on a quarterly basis. Manufacturers must address sale or disposition of replaced models and/or models with low US market penetration without affecting the sale of current models and without adding marketing cost.
AGParts has developed channels in markets in China, India, Northern Africa, the Middle East and Russia. Use of these markets helps to ensure that the product will never surface again in developed markets like the US and Europe.
